OUR PROCESS

Congrats on your engagement! Thank you for your interest in custom wedding invitations. I'm thrilled to learn more about you and your big day! Please review our process below to get started.

STEP 1: SELECT YOUR PRODUCTS​

  • Save the Date cards

  • Invitation Suites 

    • Invitation card + envelope

    • Layered backing (optional)

    • Pocket cards (optional)

    • RSVP card + envelope

    • Enclosure cards

    • Printed addresses on envelope (optional)

    • Belly bands (optional)

    • Monograms  (optional)

  • Programs

  • Table cards

  • Escort cards

  • Seating charts

  • Favor/gift tags

  • Signage

  • Thank you cards

STEP 2: PLAN YOUR TIMELINE

  • Save the Date cards should be sent out at least 6 months before your wedding date.

  • Wedding invitations should be sent out at least 3-4 months before your wedding date.

  • Design and production time for each could take up to 4-6 weeks to complete, so please plan accordingly!

  • Shipping could take up to an additional week. 

  • Day-of products (such as programs, escort cards, etc.) could take up to 1-3 weeks to complete, but we do try to for quick turn arounds!

  • We do recognize the need for rush orders. Please communicate this with us during Step 3 and we will do our best to accommodate you. Rush order fees may apply.

 

STEP 3: ESTIMATE & CONTRACT

Now that you have the essentials figured out, please send us a message using our CONTACT form so we can better understand how we might be of service to your wedding needs. From there we can decide how to proceed. You can expect a response within 48 hours including an estimate and contract. Contract must be agreed upon and signed before moving forward.

STEP 4: DESIGN WITH BECKY J.

Every custom wedding invitation design begins with a complimentary consultation. We will discuss themes, colors, paper stock, printing methods, and so much more. Come with ideas and Pinterest boards ready!

 

For couples in the Northern VA & DC Metro Area, Becky J. Invitations will arrange a place and time to meet and start designing your very own wedding invitation design. For out-of-state couples, we can communicate via email, phone, or video chat. 

STEP 5: REVISIONS & PROOFS

You will receive a digital proof of your initial design options. From there we will choose the best design and refine it until it's perfect. The first three rounds of revisions are complimentary. Fees for additional rounds of revisions may apply. Physical proofs of invitations may only be requested for final designs -- proofs for letterpress or foil stamping are not available.

PLEASE TRIPLE CHECK ALL WORDING AND SPELLING ON FINAL PROOF. Once final proof is approved by you, Becky J. Invitations is no longer responsible for typos.

STEP 6: APPROVE, PRINT & DELIVER

Once you approve the final proof of your design, Becky J. Invitations will take of printing. All final pieces will be cut to size and partially assembled, then shipped to you. Some assembly may be required, such as stuffing enclosure cards into pocket cards, wrapping belly bands, placing all pieces in envelopes to be sealed and mailed. Postage stamps included upon request.

STEP 7: VOILA!
